CET - Monthly average temperatures for Britain in the Twentieth Century

These are the Central England average temperatures (CETs) for this century. This is a measure of the month's temperature, based on readings from a number of central England sites. IMPORTANT CAVEATS: I have cobbled this together from a variety of sources, and cannot vouch for the accuracy of all of these figures. If you notice any errors, please email me. For some of the more recent months I have provided estimates that will be updated when I have more accurate figures. I do not know exactly who produces these figures, and I assume there is no copyright issue. For comparison, here are the averages for the previous reference period 1961-1990. Note how most months were cooler, particularly in winter. July and August also show an increase. This is because of the mild winters and hot summers of the 90s. Note how April, May, June, September, and October show little warming over this period.
